1. Description of The Box:
The Box is a free polyphonic/monophonic VST-Instrument based on subtractive architecture.

2. Contents of The Box:
- Two bank switches to allow the combination of the sound from the oscillators
- Four oscillators (A, B, C, & D) with variable waveshapes accessible through a panel control
- Coarse and fine tuning controls for each of the four oscillators
- Various filters with cutoff and resonance control for most of the oscillators
- Three ADSRs for each oscillator to allow control over pitch, filter, and amp
- Two assignable LFOs per oscillator
- Pan and volume controls for each oscillator
- An EFX A/B and C/D section with a choice of echo, flanging, or an additional LPF
- Solid Mix control to allow for smooth manual or automated mixing between the banks
- Frequency Analyser
- On screen MIDI keyboard to audition patches
- Portamento and Mono Control
- Master Volume
- MIDI Automation available for most of the controls
- 128 Presets

3. Basic Operating Instructions of The Box:
Operation is based on subtractive synthesis.  If you are unfamiliar with subtractive
synthesis, or any other synthesis methods for that matter, there are several good websites
and books on the subject.

Underneath The Box logo are two switches that allow for the combination of the sound from
each of the individual oscillators.  Each of the oscillators' controls are enclosed
in its own panel.  Panels can be accessed by the button underneath the small star.  The
star will display which oscillator you are currently editing (A, B, C, or D).

Each oscillators' layout is completely the same.  Switching between the panels will allow
you to visually see the similarities and differences between the controls of each of the
oscillators.  This should offer some assistance when designing patches.

The rest of the controls should be pretty straight-forward.  

4. Installation:

Copy TheBox.dll to the Vstplugins folder for your VST Host,
and locate The Box in your Host application.
